The thesis addresses the issue of political inequality among young Europeans. Focusing on class inequalities, the thesis sheds light on the paths through which socio-economic inequalities among young people are reproduced from generation to generation and finally reflected in widely differentiated and increasingly unequal forms of political activism. The thesis aims at offering: 1) A theoretical contribution, by means of a renewed discussion on the legacy of class; 2) A methodological contribution, adopting sophisticated statistical techniques to disentangle mechanisms of reproduction of socio-economic and political inequality.
