Riassunto analitico
Main objective of the present work was to apply free-standing, ultra-thin and ultra-conformable functional polymeric film to the fabrication of ultra-conformable organic electronic components. In particular, this work was focused on development of basic ultra-conformable organic devices in order to combine them together, in the context of larger research project, to form ultra-conformable circuits able to fulfill complex tasks like sensing, processing and data transmission. Conformable circuits are particular appealing because their ability to adhere and conform onto any surface they are released on. Such a peculiar organic electronic circuit obviously requires, among others, specific energy supply and storage as well as signal amplification components, able to fulfill both mechanical and electrical requirements. In this work several ultra-thin, free-standing and ultra-conformable basic organic components was developed, fabricated and tested. The studied devices includes a free-standing, ultra-thin capacitor usable as electronic passive component, a low voltage organic transistor for logic and signal amplification, a transferrable ultra-thin solar cell for and a transferrable ultra-thin OLED.
