The need to provide high technology solutions, led Thales Alenia Space to adopt a lean structure, able to implement rapid innovations, drawing a matrix structure which allows a deep control over all the Department’s activities. Considering the huge dimension of the Company, the innovative management of processes represents the “quid pluris” which allows Thales Alenia Space to be the market leader in several industries, providing products characterized by non-current assets and different deployment phases.
Although there are specific departments dedicated to performance improvements, the innovative process management affects all the Departments, this is an indication of the continuous need to improve the efficiency of the Company’s structure.
The report focuses on innovative processes and tools adopted in Thales Alenia Space’s Chief Financial Office. The CFO, although it is considered as a support department, is part of the “organic” scheme to provide at all levels an agile approach and the ability to respond efficiently to the market requests.
