Riassunto analitico
This paper investigates how business enterprises can have a better understanding of the impacts of climate change on their business operations and contribute to the formulation of climate adaptation strategies upon the application of a climate change risk assessment methodology at organizational- and local / meso- level. The objective of this research is closely linked to the general objective of the EU-LIFE project that aims to develop climate-resilient business enterprises. Specifically, the study aims to answer the following research questions:
i. To what extent can a climate change risk assessment methodology be developed and applied that empirically explores the way risks are assessed within a cluster of business enterprises?
ii. To what extent can climate change adaptation strategies be formulated within a cluster of business enterprises, following the application of a climate change risk assessment methodology?
iii. To what extent can a climate change risk assessment methodology be developed and applied that empirically explores the way risks are assessed by a single business enterprise?
