Riassunto analitico
Bicuspid aortic valve (BAV) is one of the most common congenital disorders (1-2% of general population). Rapid leaflet degeneration with subsequent calcification more easily lead to severe aortic stenosis. Anatomical features like the presence of elliptic shape of the aortic annulus and the presence of asymmetric aortic calcification could affect correct postioning, deployment and functioning of TAVI. Paravalvular leak represents the major issue related to asymmetric aortic valve implantation and is strong related to clinical outcome.
