Abstract
Distwalk is an emulation tool used to benchmark and study different cloud and distributed system architectures. It is used to represent different topologies and paradigms of communication. In this thesis, different features were added to the tool to give the user more possibilities for emulation. These features include a forward timeout with retry feature, different transportation protocols to communicate between nodes, and reduced synchronicity in the execution flow.
