Abstract
This thesis proposes a novel analog Vector-Matrix Multiplier (VMM), a dedicated hardware block highly specialized in performing vector-matrix multiplications, the most important operation in DNNs. In particular, the core of the thesis will focus on the definition of an innovative single-poly single-transistor analog memory, that will be exploited by the VMM block to perform fast and efficient operations, with the goal of area and energy consumption minimization.<br>
