Riassunto analitico
This thesis presents the design and a simulation method for the magnetic circuit employed in the characterization of Infineon modern core-less current sensors. The latter have a magnetic-based sensing structure to measure the magnetic field induced by the current flowing on a specific current rail. Since the reliability of the sensing system strictly depends on the immunity to stray fields, a characterization of the sensors is pivotal. This thesis proposes a magnetic circuit design able to induce a high-frequency and high-intensity magnetic field into the air gap of a ferrite core, where the current sensor is deployed and its immunity characteristics verified. Furthermore, the Finite Element Method analysis of the circuit is presented and the results discussed.
