Riassunto analitico
The research topic encompassed diverse areas, both industrial and natural. In the industrial sector, the research focused on inspection and monitoring. Two production lines were studied, with a custom solution developed for each. In one case, an innovative solution was found for sorting and monitoring packages. In the second case, a production line for industrial bearings was analyzed, and modifications were proposed to standardize and speed up the entire production process. Additionally, two energy harvesting systems were designed for monitoring devices in industrial environments. In the first instance, energy is harvested from high-pressure airflow passing through a duct, while in the second, the energy management process from solar panels was optimized.
In the natural environment, robots were developed to operate underwater. These robots were designed to work in swarms, carrying out environmental inspection and monitoring tasks. Lastly, monitoring devices for tracking the activities of specific insect families in agriculture and livestock were studied and implemented.
