Riassunto analitico
The topic of the PhD dissertation revolves around the topic of the ESG criteria and sustainability transitions. Each paper analyses the topic on three different level of analysis: at the company level (first chapter), at the level of financial markets/institutions (second chapter) and at the policy-making level (third chapter). While the first chapter provides a solid framework on the determinants ESG performance that serves as a proxy of complexity in sustainability, the other two chapters deep dive on how financial actors and policy mixes embrace this complexity when dealing with private and public investments.
