This thesis conceptualises the EU energy transition as a transformative regulatory model that contributes to reshaping the dynamics of the integration process. The analysis unfolds along three complementary dimensions. It first reconstructs the substantive contents of the EU transition model through the analytical lens of public policy, highlighting the plurality and interaction of different and competing policy objectives put forward within several macro-strategies. It then investigates the regulatory techniques deployed to implement these objectives, identifying their functional rationales. Finally, it examines the implementing models through which the transition is operationalised through the analytical lens of administrative law.
